What is BacklinkTrack?

BacklinkTrack is a tool to help you manage and audit your backlinks.

Search engines, like Google, analyze links to a website. These links are a critical ranking factor. The more high-quality, relevant links a website has, the more authority that website is given. This method of measuring and ranking websites by inbound links one of the key concepts in the PageRank algorithm that is central to how Google search operates.

Authors of websites work hard to acquire inbound links and outbound links to their website. Website owners using BacklinkTrack can "track" the acquisition of these inbound links and any related outbound links to ensure that, over time, the link is still functional and conforms to all the standards that search engines and you require to have the best impact on your SEO.

What problem does BacklinkTrack solve?

Imagine you have acquired an inbound link to your website (often referred to as a "backlink") from a high-authority website. You worked with the owner of that website to link to your article as you are an authority on the topic and your article will help the readers of that website.

Over time, it is common for articles to be edited, updated, and changed. During this process, links might also be updated or removed as changes are made to the articles. BacklinkTrack solves this problem.

BacklinkTrack allows website owners to create contacts, and within each contact, they can then list all of the acquired inbound links (backlinks) and outbound links they have gained over time.

BacklinkTrack will then automatically audit those links weekly or fortnightly depending on the subscription plan. If the link has changed, become broken, or been changed to a "no-follow" link (which tells search engines to ignore the link), BacklinkTrack will inform you so that you can take action and resolve the issue.

What benefits does BacklinkTrack provide?

BacklinkTrack provides:

  1. A structured way to capture your backlinks - using our interface, you can filter and scan through your backlinks quickly
  2. An automated way to audit your backlinks - we remove the need for you to manually check if all your links are still working, saving you many days of effort
  3. A scalable way to do backlink management - your time and energy shouldn't increase as your site becomes bigger and larger. By using a tool like BacklinkTrack, you can invest in the right process from the start, and know that once you have thousands of backlinks, you are not spending exponentially more time managing them

How does BacklinkTrack compare to other backlink tools?

BacklinkTrack is a proactive backlink management tool. We focus on providing you with features to help you keep track of the backlinks you have acquired.

Unlike other tools on the market, BacklinkTrack doesn't crawl your website. Products like Moz, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console are passive backlink management tools and do a good job of crawling the internet and finding random backlinks for your website. BacklinkTrack is focused on helping you manage backlinks that you've acquired proactively and monitoring them for changes.
